Last week, in the midst of all the worry about Mr B and his job (we still haven't heard yet - Wednesday is The Big Day), there was one small glimmer of hope for me.
FF was telling me that I had ovulated.
We'd DTD regularly around the same time as ovulation had been predicted.
My temperature was on a steady incline.
Much as I tried not to be, I was hopeful.
But today my temperatures came crashing back down again, and I'm sure that a visit from Aunt Flo is imminent.
Urgh. My body sucks.
We're also still waiting to hear from the doctors about Mr B's SA... Which is frustrating. We went to them in November, and it's now almost February. Ridiculous. And annoying.
Welcome to my little piece of the interweb where I'll likely moan and complain at infrequent times and on random subjects. Expect PCOS and TTC rants a plenty!

In for the long haul...
My period arrived 8 days ago.
And is still going strong.
It's got heavier as the week's progressed, which seems to be in direct correspondance with how well I've been doing on the diet.
But, because AF is here and I feel all bloated and rubbish, I'm really not sure how the weigh in will go tomorrow.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Right on Time!
After charting my temperature, changing my diet, and symptom spotting like mad, I'm very excited that
AF ARRIVED THIS MORNING!!
AF ARRIVED THIS MORNING!!
CD30, 14DPO. That's "normal"!
It's weird that someone trying for a baby would be excited by the arrival of a period, but having a cycle is, in itself, pretty exciting for someone with PCOS!!
I don't know how many more times I'll be excited by my period arriving - I'm hoping to be excited by a BFP next month - but for now, I'll enjoy it!

Why the Weight!?
This week, my trousers have felt a little bit more snug than I would usually like. I put it down to a period bloat.
Well, my period's gone now, but the "bloat" hasn't. I'm pretty sure I can't kid myself any more...
I weighed myself this morning, and I've gained 3lbs. On top of the 7lbs I lost before Easter through being ill. So that's 10lbs I've gained in 3 weeks. Ridiculous.
I really need to get my arse in gear. I need to get back to the gym (or cancel the membership because I'm paying for something that I'm not using at the moment, which doesn't make sense.)
I've decided that I'll keep the membership 1 month after I get back from holiday, and if I haven't used it in that time, I'll cancel it.
I don't want to cancel it - I want to be a gym bod again! I want, no NEED, to lose weight.
xx

Hmm... not good at this
So, it turns out I'm not very good at regularly blogging. Must try harder.
Well, I gained a pound and a half on Saturday, which was a shame, but not unexpected. I've been really good since, sticking to 1200 calories. Up till today. I feel pretty rubbish today, and as a result can't stop eating. I feel really giddy (especially when I stand up), my head feels too heavy for my body and I feel really numb... I've eaten a BLT sandwich, a Yorkie Bar, a bag of Doritos, an apple, a satsuma, and I'm currently tucking in to a bit of Toblerone. Don't know what that's all about, but I'm definitely headed straight for my bed when I get home, to see if I need some sleep!
I've also just enquired about acupuncture to help with my periods, and TTC. My friend C says it's great, and worth every penny, but I'm not sure. Having said that, I'm prepared to give anything a go! (hmm... I wonder if it can help me lose weight, too?...) It's pretty pricey, though - £50 for the initial consultation, and £40 for every appointment after that.
Anyway, that's where I'm at now!
